- Computer Workshops and Digital Literacy Program: Support and classes to cover basic needs regarding iPhones, Androids, Google Maps and Search, how to use digital devices or improve digital literacy, and more!
- Community Adult Literacy Assistance: Supports English speakers who lack basic reading and writing skills by pairing them with a trained tutor for weekly 2 hour sessions.
- Conversations in Spanish or English: A monthly safe space to connect, share experiences and find updated key information about health, finances and life.
- Food Programs: such as community soup lunch and drop in community café with the Mahjong Club, frozen meals, volunteer grocery shopping & delivery.
- Form Filling Clinic: Assists in completing forms and applications such as CPP, OAS, GIS, BC Housing Registry, SAFER, BC Bus Pass, and more. Trained volunteers also provide information about local resources and services to meet other needs.
- Free Legal Clinic: Contact the BNH to be provided with a free 30-minute consultation to provide information on what legal proceedings are, what to expect in court, drafting wills or power of attorney.
- Friendly Phone Calls: Stay connected through weekly phone calls from a volunteer!
- Latin Beat, Tai Chi and Qi Gong Programs: Step into relaxation and rejuvenation in a weekly class, a perfect blend of uplifting, gentle exercise and mindful movement.
- Minds in Motion: A fitness and social program for people living with any form of early-stage dementia to attend with a family member, friend or other care partner.
- Seniors Connections Program: Lead by volunteers, often seniors themselves, activities are for diverse seniors to engage and deepen opportunities to work together to increase health, well-being and creativity. Check the website for monthly schedule of activities.
- Seniors Peer Support Program: Provides information and support to seniors in connecting with community programs and services including outreach, engagement, and other assistance.
- Therapeutic Activation Program for Seniors (TAPS): Is a day program offered to seniors with health and mobility barriers to participating in more independent programs.
