Advocacy and Indigenous Services
Provided by Providence Health Care
- Access to cultural practices, including the All Nations Sacred Space and Traditional Medicines;
- Day to day consultation and navigational support;
- Cultural interpretation and/or health literacy translation services;
- Discharge planning and family support;
- Connect patients to community resources and supports, including Elders;
- Support culturally safe navigation for complaints;
- Help to support the provision of culturally safe care;
- Provides peer support from lived/living experience to patients and families receiving services at St. Paul’s Hospital and Providence Health Care (PHC) and provide emotional supports and help facilitate culturally safe and appropriate care for patients and families receiving services.
